You've been living together with the man for ages, so you'd be the first to know who he is. Of course he is your father, and nobody likes people talking crap about our family, but even if you don't like it, much of it can be true, as it is the case with your father.

His intentions might be well-meant in his own mind, helping the American working man in whichever way it can be done, and of course, keeping his enormous ego intact in whichever way possible, be it through (unproven?) Russian connections or mouth that doesn't seem to keep anything else inside it besides maybe food. But Hitler, in his mind, might have been helping Germans (and of course, his ego) as well. And no, I'm not comparing your father with Hitler. That would be stupid. But the comparison was just to show that what's good in HIS mind, might not actually be good. Independent of the best intentions. And I'm not saying he only has best intentions in mind, but to you, maybe he does. Or if he does for real, many of his best intentions are based on not knowledge or facts but rather ignorance and experience as a cocky businessman. And that doesn't help a country. Or the world.

You criticise "the level of viciousness" your father has been subjected to. You say you feel very vindicated by James Comey's Senate testimony. And that your father is telling the truth. But have you really listened to your father? Have you really? Wasn't he lying when he was talking about the crowd size in his inauguration compared to what pictures showed? Wasn't he lying when he said that "No administration has accomplished more in the first 90 days."? Wasn't he lying when he said that "The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process."? Wasn't he lying when he claimed that "Americans don't "care at all" about Donald Trump's tax returns."? Pretty much everyone wants to see them. Even his supporters wouldn't mind a glance. Wasn't your dad lying when he said "Only 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning. Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage." According to Politifact, the official estimate of the number of revoked visas alone is 60,000, more than 1,200 people were denied boarding flights to the United States.

Well, you get the point. I know you love your father, but his alternative facts are not in fact facts, but lies. Pure and simple.

When your brother Eric said in Fox News that "morals have flown out the window" and your father's critics are "not even people," doesn't it make you think? Firstly, to call people very critical about your father not even people, come on, they are not Mexicans! Secondly, morals? When it comes to morals flying out of the window, who do you think opened the window in the first place? Mocking a disabled reporter, and then lying about not doing it, and well, about everything else. Morals? Insulting people based on their looks? Like 'Ariana Huffington is unattractive, both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man - he made a good decision.'? What morals are we talking about here. Okay, if a drunk guy in a bar said that, it would be bad, but last time I checked, your dad wasn't a random drunk guy in a bar.

Now, Ivanka, even you can understand that your father is ignorant when it comes to climate change. If, let's say, almost any other person would say "It's freezing and snowing in New York - we need global warming!", we could take it as a joke, but your father doesn't seem to grasp the idea of climate change at all. And in his mind, by sticking to the Paris climate agreement he would be representing Paris not Pittsburgh, that's not really the point of it, is it? He doesn't seem to understand what's going on at all. To your father climate change is a hoax just to take the jobs from miners. Right. Ivanka, please. You're pretty, and seemingly smart, isn't it already time to show it by not supporting your daddy in every ignorant, and stupid thing he does?

You say that "Ultimately, we're really focused on why the American people elected Donald Trump president.". To many people it's still a question, why the American people elected Donald Trump (even though, based on the numbers of people who voted, Americans actually did not elect Donald Trump). Many people voted for your father simply because they disliked Hillary Clinton more. Many people voted for your father because they are afraid, and having a bully in charge might lower the fear levels. Russian people, while in average very friendly and nice people, also feel they need a strong leader, independent of what he's doing. Right or wrong. Many people also voted for your father because they simply didn't know better. They heard the anti-establishment keyword and thought that's all they need. And some people simply hated the same things your father hates - everything but white Americans.

Like it or not, but your father really is an ignorant asshole.
